Just gotta poke around
That's what i always say about late-era Dead shows. If you do a bit of sifting you find some pleasant surprises.
I was drawn to this one for it's unusual setlist and wasn't disappointed. Kicking off with a surprisingly good Shakedown with nary a mumbled lyric... Jerry actually sings it quite well. By High Time, his voice is sounding a bit frayed though. The Scarlet-less Fire in the second set is another highlight for me. Even better is the Cassidy>UJB>Cassidy which is a bit ragged but scores and 'a' for effort.
Also points for this excellent aud tape - really nicely balanced with a well rounded sound, Phil nicely in the mix and just enough crowd.

Support your tapers!
This show just became the latest victim of Rhino's compilation Road Trips debacle, where they cut up two shows out of sequence and give us the highlights. BS! So I came here and found this great recording of the entire show in all its glory. The setlist will make you listen, the sound will make you download, and your friends reactions when you share it with them will keep the taping community one step ahead of the corporate money grubbers.

Great sounding recording
Here's another one I'm going to add to gdluckynumbers.org. Keith, I'm loving your recordings. I saw a post of yours earlier where you talked about transferring more of your recordings. Please, please do!
